These women will try any flap to improve their sex life.
Women pay $500 to have salmon sperm injected into their vaginas to help their poor sex lives.
“Many older women come to me and say they no longer have any kind of sexual arousal.” Amanda Azzopardian aesthetic nurse who runs clinics in London, Liverpool and North Wales, he told the Daily Mail. “So we do the ‘O-shot’ and they report stronger and more frequent orgasms, increased natural lubrication, greater sexual arousal.”
The “O-shot” is a non-surgical treatment designed to revitalize the vagina and increase sexual arousal — and is said to usually show results after about two to four sessions.
Various types of injections are used for the procedure, including the patient’s own blood or salmon sperm.
“It just completely changes their lives,” Azzopardi said.
As people age, their skin often loses its elasticity, which can lead to vaginal dryness and painful sex.
According Peach & Lily — which sells a Marine Jewel Capsule from Shangpree, a Seoul-based skincare and spa line — DNA extracted from salmon sperm “has powerful regenerative properties, it doesn’t work at a surface level, but sinks deep into the skin to work from inside, encouraging the cell cycle, in turn, helps to tighten the skin and maintain its elasticity.”
The purified and sterilized salmon DNA molecules – officially called polynucleotides – also have anti-inflammatory effects that effectively rejuvenate the skin, anywhere on the body.
Fish sperm has been a staple in Korean skin care for many years, often listed on product ingredient lists or injected into the face.
It gained traction in the US last year after Jennifer Anniston revealed that once facial sampling from salmon spermadmitting to Wall Street Journal that she will “try almost anything” to keep her skin looking young.
“A study, it happened in 2017proved that salmon sperm helped repair cell damage, [sped up] wound healing and reduced inflammation. Other studies have shown that the proteins found in salmon sperm help reduce the signs of aging,” Dr. Kenneth Beer, a cosmetic dermatologist in West Palm Beach, Florida.
A 2010 study published in International Journal of Cosmetic Science found that the DNA in the sperm contained a higher water content, increased skin elasticity, stronger collagen levels and increased hyaluronic acid production.
Another reference done in mice in 2016 found that salmon sperm DNA increased blood flow to the skin and was beneficial for wound healing.
“Many studies have shown its healing power and it is sometimes used to promote healing. It has been used not only to treat skin but also to treat damaged livers,” said Beer, founder of ScientificRx skin care and director of Cosmetic Bootcamp.
These treatments may seem a little cool, but some people will do it they do almost anything to look and feel like they used to.
