“Look at this beautiful hotel. We’re in Houston, Texas and we’re headed to Smile Texas to get our permanent veneers on,” she said in a video. “I’m so excited about the removal of temps.”
The OC’s mom then posted a video of Eddie standing in the elevator, revealing that she was the one who convinced him to change his veneers.
“Are you excited to get your new teeth?” she asked her husband. “This is something you never thought you would do. Did I tell you about it?’
“You did, but I’m excited. Very excited,” Eddie replied. “It’s like getting a new car.”
Tamra then pointed out a large gap in her husband’s top row of teeth, which was the result of the loss of one of his temporary veneers.
“You just had to point it out,” Eddie said.
“Big day,” Tamra continued. “Smile, with your veneer missing on the side.”

The OC’s wife finally arrived at the office and met with Dr. Mackenzi Mcafee-Dooley.
The doctor explained that he would remove the temporary veneers and replace them with the permanent variety. The former are white colored shells made of a less durable material such as dental wax, acrylic or resin. They are usually removed once the permanent porcelain veneers are ready to be installed.
“Are you excited?” Dr. McAfee-Dooley asked Tamra. “Today is the day! So we’re going to temporarily remove her.”
“I don’t hate my temps,” Tamra added.
“No, your temporaries are great,” the doctor replied, “but the veneers look insanely beautiful.”
Tamra and Eddie show off their new smiles: ‘They don’t look fake’
Eddie was seen by Dr. Bret Davis, who posted before and after photos of the husband’s new teeth.
“Nothing beats the moment someone sees their new smile for the first time!” Dr Davies wrote in caption one October 25 reel.”Today, [Eddie] I experienced that feeling — and the joy was contagious.”
Although the couple were clearly happy with the results, they struggled to keep a smile due to the numbness around their mouths. They made light of the matches in a few more photos and videos, including one in which Tamra couldn’t hold back her drink.
Tamra and Eddie shared another look at the results the next day, when the numbness and minor swelling had subsided.
“Growing new teeth, guys!” OC’s mom said in an Oct. 26 video. “It feels so good. What I love is that they don’t look fake. They just look nice and nice. It’s not like my teeth are coming into the room before I do.”
