LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Looking to put your best face forward this holiday season? So, if you’re considering botox, fillers, or any other type of injectable, now is the time to make those appointments because it can take a few weeks for the product to settle in and look your best.
Kara Babaz is a nurse who says women can find it difficult to deal with insecurities about their appearance while meeting all their other obligations.
“You know women so often put themselves last. As mothers, we put ourselves last. As husbands and wives, we put ourselves last. With our career, we put ourselves on the back burner.”
This leaves many feeling drained and wondering what happened to the woman they used to be.
“We’ve spilled our cup on everyone else and suddenly we’re left looking in the mirror and insecure.”
Time and lifestyle affect everyone.
“As we age, the first place we lose bone is in the middle of the face. We get laxity, we have volume loss in the face, we have natural volume loss in the lips, natural volume loss in the marionette lines, and we start to lift our face up and say what happened?’
But there is hope, and it doesn’t have to involve surgery.
“Depending on their skin concerns and their goals, there’s a lot of different things we can do here, from mid-day botox to freshening up the face and lifting the brow a bit, to softening the crow’s feet around the eyes , until the tightening of the skin, call me Morpheus8. The Morpheus8 is a radio frequency and micro-needling device that we can use to help tighten the skin.”
A problem that is becoming even more prevalent with new developments in weight loss is feeling like you’ve lost your face along with your waistline. That’s why you might want to look into dermal fillers or a biostimulator to help you produce more of your own collagen, Babaz says.
“Well, you have some options if you don’t want to go under the knife. But you still want to be a little refreshed for the holidays.”
And it can also give you a little glow for the holidays, “The botox glow is something, but more than that I feel it’s confidence.”
But if injectables aren’t for you, she says good skin care can make a big difference.
“A couple of my favorites would be an exfoliating polish to get some of that dead skin off, and then a retinol.”
This will help with fine lines, wrinkles and anti-aging, making you look and feel better.
“And what I love most about my job is empowering women and giving them back their confidence. And it’s so easy to do. No need, no need to change who you are. It doesn’t have to define you in any way, it strengthens you.”
And it’s not just for women.
“Probably 30 to 40 percent of my customers are actually men. He used to, “Can I go out the back door?” situation. But now it’s very well accepted and we’re here for you too.”
If you want to learn more about the treatments, Babaz says you can schedule a free consultation with them. Or you can learn more at a free upcoming open house featuring giveaways and special pricing.
