When a face costs over $4k and attracts people from all over the world, you know it is Good—but also incredibly exclusive. Such is the case with the famous Diamond InstaFacial, that’s why Jason B. DiamondMD, FACS, a dual board-certified facial plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, decided to launch the home version of his new series, Diamond’s Metacine by Dr, consisting of two products that are best used in combination. “It’s been a long time coming,” says Dr. Diamond. “I felt like I owed it to my patients and I owed it to those I may never have had the opportunity to meet.”
Known for his natural aesthetics and innovative tactics, people flock from all over seeking treatment with Dr. Diamond. Founder of The Diamond Face Institute, for which he is known Dr. 90210 and Netflix Beverly Hills Celebrity Plastic Surgeons. “I am a facial plastic surgeon and have built my reputation on the results of Diamond facelift procedures, where I combine facelifts and facelifts with other facelift procedures such as facelifts, blepharoplasty, lip lifts, custom facials. implants, etc. for a comprehensive approach and result,” says Dr. Diamond. “I do the same with my Diamond Facial Sculpting technique, maximizing the beauty of each feature by creating harmony between them.
“Whether I perform a procedure surgically or non-surgically, I have instilled the principle of synergy in every element of what I do. Why rely on one technique when I can combine them to achieve a superior result? With the skin, most surgeons do not consider skin care a priority because we are taught to consume from its underlying structures. I couldn’t accept it. The face and neck will always look their best when the skin looks their best, which is why I have spent my career experimenting and innovating techniques and procedures to perfect both. I used the same synergistic mindset when developing the Diamond InstaFacial.”
The Diamond InstaFacial is a far cry from your regular facial. Antiaging treatment focuses on the body’s natural healing properties and abilities to keep the skin in a constant state of collagen production, as collagen naturally declines as we age. Each facial is customized to each patient’s needs, but usually begins with a blood draw for PRP, also known as platelet-rich plasma, which is injected into the face to stimulate the production of new collagen and hyaluronic acid. In addition, laser and microneedling are performed to activate the regenerative function of the skin. The combination of these treatments work synergistically to deliver revitalized skin that is smoother, firmer and brighter. Another reason facials are so popular is because the rapid healing treatment has zero downtime, or as Dr. Diamond, there is no “cooling off period”.
“I curated a customized multimodal medical treatment that would maximize the benefits of laser technology, platelet-rich plasma, microneedling, and collagen injection, rather than accepting one of these techniques as enough,” says Dr. “This way, we could also minimize downtime without compromising efficiency, as many of my patients cannot afford downtime. It quickly became a cult favorite and known worldwide because patients noticed first-hand how much younger, healthier and firmer their skin looked instantly.”
However, at a heavy price and geographical limitations, Dr. Diamond realized that the Diamond InstaFacial wasn’t a reality for everyone, so he brought it to them. “I always knew that not everyone would get the chance to have an InstaFacial let alone monthly or quarterly like my patients do, so I started bottling its results so everyone could experience it,” she says. “From my medical knowledge and experience, combined with this desire, it was born Diamond’s Metacine by Dr and its debut duo, the InstaFacial Collection Plasma and Emulsion. I believe that ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’ and now I have just brought that same idea of synergy to clinical skin care.”
The InstaFacial Collection Plasma and Emulsion can not only be used to recreate the face at home, but can also be applied after the InstaFacial to prolong the results of the in-office procedure. “In the clinic, my InstaFacial aims to trigger cells to send signals to our skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production,” says Dr. Diamond. “Think of these products as a daily dose of Diamond InstaFacial. They are a dual action system that works together to support the skin’s ability to repair and rebuild, constantly signaling and communicating. The same human bioactive growth factors in Metacine Plasma support our skin’s ability to stimulate collagen production, just as PRP does during the InstaFacial. At night, the emulsion, enhanced with a four-weight hyaluronic acid complex, develops bioactive retinoids, lipopeptides and time-released niacinamide to stimulate skin rejuvenation without irritation. This ensures that the skin is optimally hydrated and primed to receive the plasma, thus continuing the synergistic antiaging cycle.”
Diamond’s Metacine Instafacial Plasma is an infusion of potent bioidentical human growth factors that mimic the transformative effects of platelet-rich plasma abundantly found in healthy skin. The featherweight formula leaves skin plumper, tighter and brighter, and results increase dramatically with continued use. The Instafacial Emulsion is formulated with bioactive retinoids, lipopeptides, niacinamide, and a time-release hyaluronic acid complex to accelerate cell renewal to improve skin texture, support collagen production, and plump skin without irritation.
It took about six years to develop the products and perfect the formulas. Every time he was almost at the finish line, a new new ingredient was introduced and Dr. Diamond felt he had to incorporate it to have the most effective blend of bioactives. Time was also taken to ensure that the formulas were safe for all skin tones and types and would not cause any irritation.
“Bottling the InstaFacial was no easy task,” says Dr. Diamond. “Several different skin conditions had to be addressed, such as fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin and cuticles. No ingredient could do that. There is strength in numbers. No single molecule will trigger cells to repair and regenerate the skin better than a synergistic complex of molecules. “Molecular synergy” is my science of complex molecules designed to work together to produce faster and greater skin rejuvenation.” He researched countless bioactive molecules for both products and tested different concentrations and combinations that would combine to create power molecules to deliver the clinical results of InstaFacial.
To optimize results, it is best to use both products together. “While they are amazingly effective solo, they enable what I call ‘molecular synergy’ when used in combination,” says Dr. Diamond. “The cell signaling components in each formula communicate to optimize each other’s benefits and deliver profound, clinically proven results. These two products (along with a cleanser and sunscreen) are designed to serve as an entire antiaging routine, but if you choose to use vitamin C or other serums, they can be applied after Blood plasma.”
The best way to apply them is to use InstaFacial Plasma on clean, dry skin, morning and night. In the evening, apply immediately after the InstaFacial Emulsion. When used together consistently, people can expect to see changes in their skin within just a few days and will see more dramatic results with continued use such as improved skin tone and texture, improved pigmentation, reduced fine lines and wrinkles. and firmer, brighter skin.
While nothing beats The Diamond InstaFacial in the office, this two-step system is the next best thing. “I wanted to find a way to combine as many bioactive human-identical growth factors as possible to mimic the results of The Diamond InstaFacial and deliver comparable results,” says Dr. “Metacine’s Plasma mimics the effects of platelet-rich plasma and I think the emulsion is a laser in a bottle, delivering key actives that accelerate cell renewal and repair and is enhanced with hyaluronic acid complexes to nourish and hydrate. The body has its own innate signaling system that helps organs, such as skin, to regenerate using molecules that communicate with cells, such as growth factors, proteins and peptides. The skin is the largest organ of the body and the truth is that it requires a variety of biochemical molecules to keep it healthy and youthful. Skin can absorb the same growth factors as humans through topical formulations, so with these products you’re getting what your body can naturally do to heal and repair and kick that ability into overdrive every day. Think of it as putting yourself on a path of youth retention.”
Having the clinics to support this was imperative for Dr. Diamond. “So much of what’s out there right now is rated based on trends and fads,” he says. “I believe that clinical skin care should be clinically proven. I was adamant about testing my compositions. Not only did I want glowing reviews from even my most demanding patients, but I also wanted quantifiable, objective evidence.” Before launch, they completed a clinical trial with 28 women and seven men, an average age of 55, representing all skin types on the Fitzpatrick scale. They replaced normal skin care routines with the InstaFacial collection and were assessed at baseline, four weeks and eight weeks by a clinical investigator using the highest standard of instrumentation. Dr. Diamond says, “The marathon was worth it because the results exceeded even my own expectations and that is very difficult to do.”
