With a career spanning over 40 years, Dr. Adams established himself as a distinguished figure in the field of dentistry, and became known for his expertise in prosthetics. His career was marked by significant roles at ClearChoice Management Services LLC, where he served as Chief Clinical Officer (2021-2023), Vice President, Clinical Affairs (2014-2021) and Clinical Director (2006-2018).
Dr. Adams joined ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers as the founding prosthodontist to open the first center in Denver, Co. Over the next 17 years he played a leadership role with the company before retiring in 2022. Using the founding principles established by Dr. The company now has a national network of more than 100 centers in the United States and has treated more than 150,000 patients.
ClearChoice was the first entity to put the patient experience at the forefront by providing an innovative procedure (the All-On-Four full arch dental procedure) in a convenient, all-in-one location that brought together clinicians, technology and dentists laboratory. This provided patients with a damaged and failed denture a completely new implant-supported denture in one day (thus avoiding the need for full dentures). Dr. Adams studied with All-On-Four procedure innovator Dr. Paulo Malo, in Europe and brought the clinical protocols to the United States. The patient-centered model developed by ClearChoice and the clinical protocols established are now the standard of care in implant dentistry worldwide.
Prior to his time with ClearChoice, Dr. Adams had a private prosthodontic practice in Michigan for 23 years.
In addition, the commitment of Dr. Adams’ dedication to education and mentoring was evident through his tenure on the teaching faculty at the Pride Institute from 1994 to 1998. As far as his professional accomplishments, his academic background laid the foundation for his illustrious career. He earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1983 and a Master of Science in Prosthodontics from the University of Michigan in 1985, where he taught as a clinical assistant professor from 1985 to 1986. These qualifications and experiences not only equipped him with the necessary skills but also he instilled tenacity, focus and a desire to create an impact in his profession.
Beyond his clinical and educational roles, Dr. Adams has made significant contributions to the dental literature. He has authored/authored numerous articles focusing on advanced dental implant techniques and treatments for complex cases of maxillary atrophy and mandibular anatomical variations. Throughout his career, Dr. Adams has been recognized for his contributions to dentistry and prosthodontics, including an appointment by Governors John Hickenlooper and Jared Polis to the Colorado Board of Dental Examiners in 2017, which highlighted his standing in the dental community. Since 2023, he has served as a board member of the Salt Dental Collective, a position in which he provides strategic direction to a privately funded dental advocacy organization, and is also a member of the Colorado Dental Board, where he has been a contributor since 2017. American Dental Association; and the Academy of Ossification.

Now in retirement, Dr. Adams is to share his experience as a board member, coach and mentor and to enjoy his time with his upcoming grandchildren. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as cross-country skiing.
