James Haskell showed off the early results of his ‘precautionary’ hair transplant after he was spotted leaving the clinic following the procedure on Tuesday.
The former England rugby player, 39, was seen leaving the Restore Hair Clinic on Harley Street in a blue hospital gown, his head freshly shaved and bearing signs of hair restoration.
And he took to Instagram on Thursday to show off his progress, sharing a photo of himself in his car with his hair growing back.
Sharing the selfie, James said he is recovering well and praised the efforts of the doctor who performed the transplant.
She wrote: “New hair day 1 recovery is going well! What a job @drraghureddy has done. ❤️ the best in the game.’

The podcast star previously admitted he was becoming increasingly insecure about his receding hairline (pictured this month before the transplant)
On Monday, James revealed at an event in Newcastle that he had been offered the procedure for free and had decided to go ahead with it.
The clinic describes its treatment as follows: “A state-of-the-art, minimally invasive surgery. Mastered by an experienced surgeon.’
The podcast star has previously admitted that he has become increasingly insecure about his receding hairline.
Discussing his anxiety about his thinnings two years ago, he said he was tempted to get it professionally “fixed”.
She said: “Would I have plastic surgery? Probably, if I need it. At some point I’ll get my hair done because it’s thinning.
“Would I start getting botox and bits and pieces? Maybe, maybe not, but I don’t think so. The character in the face is important for a man.’
James also addressed the issue of male pattern baldness in his book, What a Flanker, in 2020.
He wrote: “The strange thing is [hair loss] it affects so many men, yet they are the first to absolutely destroy anyone with a hint of submissiveness.

The timing of James’ new makeover seems purposeful as Henis returns to the dating scene following his shock split from Chloe Madeley last year (pictured together in 2020)
“I look back at the teammates I looked at for their hair and think how good I was, now I’m heading down the same path, albeit slowly.
“Men are very curious at times. I get messages saying, “I think it’s time to shave your head” or “Come on man, get a transplant,” from people I’ve never met. I think they see it as a joke.’
The timing of James’ new change seems appropriate, as Henis is returning to the dating scene following his shock split from Chloe Madeley last year.
Earlier this year, he was spotted getting cozy with a mystery woman in the VIP area during a night out at celebrity hangout Gilgamesh in London.
A source said at the time: “James looked like he was having a great time surrounded by friends and lots of women.
“He’s no stranger to getting the ladies’ attention and last night was no different. He was talking to a mysterious lady near the bar for part of the night.
“They looked like they were getting along really well and looked comfortable at times. They were whispering in each other’s ear, smiling a lot and making jokes.
“Even if they were just friends, it was good to see James being the life and soul of the party and having a good time.”

James and Chloe, 37, announced their split in October 2023 after a decade together, five years of marriage and welcoming two-year-old daughter Bondi.
They had fueled split speculation for months after Khloe was spotted without her wedding ring as she partied with friends and James was photographed chatting to a mystery blonde on a night out in London.
But these days they seem to be getting on better than ever, with Chloe admitting they’re ‘very good friends’ to Olivia Attwood. So Wrong Is Right podcast this week.
She said: “James and I were really good friends, I just want to be clear. We are not romantically involved. We work as friends, in general, we are very good friends.
“We spend a lot of time together. Me, him and Bodhi are often together for Sunday lunch. He was with me on my birthday to basically be a parent while I got drunk.
“And I think, and I hope, that over time it’s only going to get better, so you know, we actually made the right decision. We are happier and closer in many ways now than we were then.’
In recent weeks, Khloe’s famous father, Richard Mandley, revealed that the two flew to France together on holiday.
He said The Sun they have a “very happy disconnect” and that the two maintain a “very civilized relationship”, with James visiting their home all the time.

She told the Sun that they have a “very happy uncoupling” and that the two maintain a “very civilized relationship”, with James visiting their home all the time.
Reflecting on their split on Loose Women at the start of the year, Chloe admitted the pair are doing better now they are no longer romantically together.
Chloe, who is the daughter of Richard and Judy Finnigan, said: “I think there are pillars that hold a relationship together like love and respect.
“Over time all of our pillars have been disintegrated and when that happens there is no salvation. We’re doing better now that we’re not romantically involved.
“Since we broke up our relationship has become very respectful and we love each other as friends.
“One of the things that was difficult was him being away so much with DJ like four or five nights a week, but it works for us now because I’m on my own and then he comes back and spends his time with Bodhi.
“I’m happier now than I’ve ever been and he’s happy too. There were horrible weeks when I struggled to get out of bed, but once I drew a line, I was fine. I want James to be happy, I want Bondi to be happy and I want to be happy.’
Instead, Khloe said her split from her estranged husband was “horrible” and that the relationship was “miserable”.
