Kanye West’s apparent ‘lip growth’ is nothing to worry about, says celebrity dentist Dr. Clement Kairouz.
The “All of the Lights” rapper caused a stir when he shared a video on social media that referenced the risqué images he shares with his wife, Bianca Censori, but all fans could focus on was the hit.
Kairouz, who works at Apa Aesthetic New York, however, tells Page Six exclusively that the bump is due to a dental bridge he had installed that is pushing his upper lip outward.
“Kanye has always had a prominent labia and superior tuberous tissue, so I don’t think we’re looking at tissue overgrowth,” Kairouz, who hasn’t treated West, tells us.
“The photos suggest that he got a fixed bridge that doesn’t respect the natural anatomy of the mouth or leave room for soft tissue,” Kairouz explains, adding that the bridge is “exaggerating” and has pushed “his lip forward, making to appear more prominent. “
Representatives for West did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The Yeezy designer, 46, debuted his $850,000 titanium dentures last month, which a source told Us were actually “fixed prosthetics” that permanently attach to his teeth unlike grills or veneers.
“This goes way beyond veneers or grills,” the insider shared, “and his particular implant is unlike anything that’s been done before.”
West worked in parallel self-proclaimed “Father of Diamond Dentistry,” Dr. Thomas Connellyto “fabricate” and “fit” the new teeth, which included palladium and platinum materials.
“All of that said … his teeth were not removed,” the source added.

The “Heartless” performer – who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021 – caused jaws to drop when he took to his Instagram to show off the new artists, comparing himself to James Bond villain Jaws, who had similar metal teeth.
A second source later told us that West has always been “curious” about his teeth and claimed he “even brought a dentist to another dentist’s office to show him how to work on his teeth.”
The insider revealed that the discreet rapper generally has up to a dozen dentists on his rotation at any given time, and has had several sets of grills redone and removed over the years.
Another source said that West’s fascination with his mouth may be due to his famous car accident in 2002 that left his jaw shattered.
West recorded his first hit, “Through the Wire,” when his jaw was still wired shut.
