Her white-clad dreams became her fiance’s worst nightmare.
Bride-to-be Alessia Neboso, 21, died after a botched breast job, which she opted to have in the hope of filling out a wedding dress that had no breasts.
“Her dream was to get married in a beautiful low-cut dress that would show off her new cleavage,” an unnamed friend of the late fiancee, who worked as a beautician near Naples, Italy, told local media, according to JamPress.
“Alessia always had a complex about her small breasts, even though they weren’t really that small. In fact, in my opinion, they were almost perfect, ”said the insider. “But he didn’t want to listen to advice and he had decided to do it. she didn’t care what other people said.”
The friend claims that the deceased’s future son-in-law, Mario Lucchesi, 22, was also adamantly against her going under the knife.
“She didn’t even want to listen to her friend. he wasn’t in favor either,” the woman said. “When she came to my house for a manicure, she didn’t talk about anything else and was so happy she found the courage to go to the surgeon.”
Against the wishes of her loved ones, Neboso arranged to have her breasts enlarged at a local clinic on September 11. After the procedure, the brunette was discharged from the medical unit the same day.
“It was fine until [September] 18,” said Dr. Feliciano Ciccarelli from the Villa dei Fiori Clinic in Acerra, Italy.
A week after the operation, Neboso developed a high fever, fatigue, cough, weakness and gastrointestinal problems.
Her family rushed her to the emergency room on Sept. 20, where she arrived in “critical condition and a ‘code red'” — which usually means a patient is going into cardiopulmonary arrest — Ciccarelli said.
“Colleagues in the service immediately understood that the situation was very serious,” the doctor continued. “Her functional indicators all changed. her kidneys were already failing, her white blood cell count was 17,000 and she was beginning to have trouble breathing.”
The normal range for a white blood cell count is usually between 4,000 and 11,000 per microliter; according to the Cleveland Clinic. A high white blood cell count typically indicates infection or inflammation on the body.
Ciccarelli and his team fought to save Neboso’s life.
“We subjected her to all possible tests. We wanted to understand where the sepsis was located,” said the doctor. “We did an ultrasound and a CT scan of the abdomen, another CT scan of the chest, from which we knew the problem was coming from the lungs.”
Neboso was eventually stabilized and transferred to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
However, after several hours in the ICU, he went into cardiac arrest and eventually died.
The Italian calamari isn’t the only blushing bride to meet an untimely death before her wedding. In May, soon-to-be-married Paige Ruddy, 19, of Wisconsin, died of a brain hemorrhage due to smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in her home just hours before she was scheduled to walk down the aisle.
And in June 2021, a bride in India collapsed and died of a heart attack moments after her wedding began. But the grieving groom reportedly pulled himself together – and married his dead sweetheart’s younger sister when her body was moved to another room.
Neboso’s distraught family, however, are now demanding answers over the death of their “healthy” daughter.
“If there are obligations, they must come to light. If Alessia died because of the doctors, we want justice,” her parents said. “She was doing great, she was beautiful, young and healthy. They need to tell us what happened in that surgery.”
Neboso’s former neighbor Francesca, 65, explained in a shop: “On Sunday, she had to attend the christening of her niece, the daughter of her sister who was named after her.”
“She was very happy and now she won’t be able to hold this little girl in her arms,” the mourner added.
Lucchesi, who planned to spend the rest of his life with Neboso, took to social media, officially vowing to keep their love alive.
“I love you, Alè, no one will ever be able to take your place. You will be my wife forever!” he said she wrote in an Instagram caption Sunday. “You are the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me. I will have no mercy on anyone until you are vindicated.”
“You will always be in my heart and in your family,” Lucchesi said. “I love you so much.”
