For “Baywatch” actress Nicole Eggert, stripping down in a swimsuit was neither desirable nor debatable.
In a candid interview, Eggert shared how the show’s setting prompted her to get plastic surgery, a decision she now regrets.
Joining the cast for the third season, Eggert recalled being stunned on her first day of filming. “Oh my god, are we going to be in bathing suits all day every day?” she told People magazine her initial thoughts on the shoot. “I was like, ‘Oh, s—,’ when she realized she hadn’t auditioned for a spinoff series about high school kids like she originally thought.

Eggert says she felt taken advantage of, her body exposed for all to see. She compared herself to other cast members, including Pamela Anderson.
“All the girls were working out and they were super tiny and fit and I was like, ‘Oops.’ And the one-piece swimsuits were not flattering. I didn’t want to wear them at all,” she said of the iconic red swimsuit. “It just wasn’t what I signed up for. It was a whole different show and ballgame and not where I wanted to be.”
She would eventually leave the show after two seasons, but not before making a big change.

While on a break from filming “Baywatch,” Eggert, then 18, decided to go under the knife. “I regret it now, of course,” she explained, that I had breast implants. “I look at all these younger girls doing it and I think, ‘Oh my God, leave your bodies alone!’ But when you have to wear this bodysuit and it’s like you’re so flat it’s like you’re pushing – you’ve got pleats in the front… you’re like, “What’s that?” You can not do anything. You can’t fill it with anything. You can not do anything.”
Over time, Eggert began to question why she had actually had the procedure. “It was a stupid 18-year-old decision,” she admitted to People.
Since getting the initial implants, Eggert has had several breast augmentations. In 2015, she appeared on an episode of “Botched,” wanting to have her breasts reduced.

Earlier this month, the actress sadly announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Eggert initially felt pain in her chest and gained 25 pounds within three months. Believing they were menopause symptoms, she was surprised to find a lump during a self-exam in October. “It was really throbbing and it hurt,” she previously told People. “I went straight to my GP and he said I needed to go straight away and get it looked at. But the problem was I just couldn’t get an appointment. Everything was booked up. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it done.”
The results later showed that she had stage 2 crypt carcinoma Breast cancer. Eggert’s parents both had cancer.

“I can definitely feel it,” the “Charles in Charles” added the star. “It’s there. It must be removed. So the question is, do I have to do the treatment before the surgery or can they do the surgery and then do the treatment afterwards?”
Eggert says she’s waiting to see when she can start both chemotherapy and radiation, adding that he does not know if the cancer has metastasized. “I’m panicking where I am, just get it out of me,” she told People of her condition. “You’re sitting there and it’s inside you and you’re like, every second that goes by and it’s inside me, it’s growing, and you’re like, you just want it out.”
